Bay Area Engineers Assess Infrastructure Systems E-mail

In the midst of the ongoing discussion about infrastructure funding and the upkeep of our nation’s infrastructure, today ASCE’s San Francisco Section released its 2011 Report Card for Bay Area Infrastructure. The report examines and evaluates the current state of the Bay Area’s roadways, bridges and structures, transit, aviation, goods movement, parks, urban stormwater and flood control, water and wastewater. San Francisco’s Bay Area infrastructure is in dire need of proper, sustained attention, as evidenced by its 2005 Report Card which gave the Bay Area’s infrastructure a cumulative grade of C- and called for an annual investment need of $1 billion.
